Herbs for Flu and Colds
Colds are
caused by respiratory viruses; the most common is the
rhinovirus. This virus is spread through hand to
mouth contact. So hand washing is the
key!
Colds, flu and
fevers are part of nature’s eliminative process-a safety
valve that gives the body a chance for natural healing and
recovery. If drugs are used to suppress flu or cold
symptoms, the elimination process is inhibited and toxins
remain in the body.
Fever is the
body’s way of burning off an infection and it is part of
the cure. It actually speeds the healing process. The heart
beats faster and the liver increases in activity,
(destroying more toxins), the kidneys excrete more acid to
clean the blood, the glandular system produces more
hormones for normal body function and the body cells
produce more interferon to fight illness. A little temp is
fine as we know the body is fighting the germ but very high
fevers do need medical attention!

are well known to relieve the symptoms of the flu, colds,
and fevers and will help strengthen the immune
